Inland craft insurance is a type of boat insurance which insures inland water crafts including barges, river boats and inland cruises.

When owning an inland craft, like any vehicle, it incurs a certain number of risks. Regardless of your boating requirements, insurance is advisable in order to cover the costs of any damages, repairs and injuries to passengers or third parties.

Although certain areas do not require insurance by law, you may be legally required to take out an insurance policy depending on where you are sailing or storing your inland craft.

At Taylor Watkins, our specialist inland craft insurance covers river boats,  Dutch barges, sailing barges and inland cruisers sailing on UK and European Inland Non-Tidal Waterways. At this moment in time, the policies exclude Windermere, the Norwegian Fjords and Scottish Lochs.
